This one, however, is not an all-new generation, but an updated model: the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross.<br /><br />The Xpander and its Cross sibling are one of the most popular nameplates not just in its class but in the car industry as a whole, with legions of fans making a case for it by word of mouth and in comments sections. It follows the basic formula of 1.5-liter raised MPVs being marketed as SUVs, but whereas most competitors get CVTs, the Xpander Cross retains a four-speed automatic.
