Er lebt in einem der ärmsten Viertel von Sarka, dem Geburtsort von Abu Musab al Sarkawi, dem ehemaligen al-Qaeda Führer im Irak, der 2005 von den us-amerikanischen Truppen getötet wurde. Abu Ammar muss ständig Rückschläge hinnehmen. Er ist gezwungen Kartons zu sammeln, um seine Familie, mehr schlecht als Recht, zu ernähren. Als sich seine Situation verschlimmert, muss er eine radikale Entscheidung fällen, um sich vor Entwürdigung zu schützen.
